Add Wiki Content
Note: this text is copy-paste from Hey wiki folks, could I get a wiki 101? and reproduced here for when the forum disappears.

No problem! First create an account (we disabled anonymous edits). But know that Renzo modified the arithmetic capcha, so read this hand-written page all the way to the end to get the secret:
At that point, when you look at a page, the “edit” tab will show up. You’ll be surprised how obvious the markup is just by looking at any existing page. For example, a bullet item list starts with a “*”. To make a numbered list start each line with a “#” (don’t include any blank lines between items). Headers have equal signs at the start and end of the line. To create a link to a page on the same wiki, put the page title inside of double square brackets, like this: [[Main page]] would be a link to the wiki home page. To create a link to a different site, use single square brackets, the link URL, a space, then the text, like this: [http://docs.getchip.com/ NTC documentation].
To create a page from scratch, first decide which page should link to it. You might decide to have a link to it from the trouble shooting page. So edit that page and add your link. It might be:
- [[Support Q&A]]
Save this page, and you’ll see your link show up red, meaning that it is a link to a non-existant page. Click the link, and it puts you right into an editor for the page.
If you can’t get the page to look right,
drop me a line with specific questions, and I can help. (Given how long it has been since Fordsfords has been active on the forum and wiki, it would be best to try to figure out how to do it via the Media Wiki Help link on the left)
One nice thing about mediawiki is the history capability. I can go in and change your page, and you can see exactly what I did to change it. For example, go to http://www.chip-community.org/index.php/Care_and_Feeding 6 and click the “history” tab. You’ll see a bunch of entries like this:
- (cur | prev) 17:22, 27 March 2016 Fordsfords (Talk | contribs | block) . . .
- (cur | prev) 08:29, 27 March 2016 Fordsfords (Talk | contribs | block) . . .
- (cur | prev) 20:16, 1 March 2016 Tincoyote (Talk | contribs | block) . . .
Click the “prev” link on the first entry and you’ll see a side-by-side comparison of the before and after for the page.

One final suggestion: you might want to set a “watch” on the pages you write so that you can see when other people modify your page. That’s the point of a wiki: if I see your explanation and think it could be improved upon, I’ll change it … and hopefully it will actually BE an improvement. By setting a watch on the page, you’ll be notified via email of changes, and be able to use the history to see the differences. If you think my well-meaning change makes it worse, you can change it back, or better yet, synthesize a new ring to rule them all.
